Jim's Grocery and Bar

This place, located in Yoakum, Texas is what used to be called a neighborhood grocery and bar. Margret Smolik, an outgoing. friendly person is the proprietor. Half the building is store and half is a beer joint where families can relax after a long work day. Margret is closed on Thursdays.

To find this place take highway 111 out of Yoakum towards Edna and on the edge of town turn left on FM 318 like you are going to Sweet Home, but don't go that far. Just a few blocks to Maple Street, turn left, go another few blocks and watch the right hand side of the street. Watch close and don't miss it.
